Description
Spend a day relaxing on the water with family and friends or open the throttles for a day of fun; whatever you choose the Powercat is second to none.
Just as at home on the open ocean as it is exploring coves, inlets and waterways, the combination of flexibility, performance and safety, make Powercat the perfect choice for families.
Swim, fish, water-ski, explore, even camp overnight – no matter what you want to do Powercat is the answer. And if you see a deserted beach that you want to take a closer look at, simply beach the Powercat, thanks to the reinforced keel with full-length stainless steel keel bands.
Powercat’s twin hull design gives it fantastic stability and fuel economy even in extremely testing sea conditions, while the two engines provide excellent performance and enhanced safety levels (Powercats run comfortably and can even plane on one engine).
The Powercat’s self draining deck means it will not only drain in the roughest water but can also be left on a mooring in any weather without filling up. Powercat is also easily launched, trailered and towed, adding to its flexibility.

Vessel Benefits
Powercat 525 ex-demo
The super-efficient and well proven Cornish designed and built 525 is equally at home in a variety of settings, thanks to its quality of build and smooth ride.
It is effortlessly towable and launching can be easily done by one person. This is a super sweet bundle of fun, neatly packaged in an easy to manage and robust quality boat that is perfect for staycations and making the most of our home waters or towing to adventures further away.
With very few hours on the hull and engines, this is an exceptional opportunity to pick up this almost new, highly sought after and well proven boat.
Feature – Twin engines:
Benefit – Safety.
Both engines are completely independent of one another, including fuel and batteries. In the unlikely event of an engine failure, you still have another, which will get you home safely and with two people on board still give a top speed of appx 15 knots.
Benefit – Manoeuvrability.
With two engines you can turn the boat within its own length without using the steering wheel. This makes handling the boat in confined spaces (e.g. marina) far easier than a conventional single engined boat.
Feature – Design:
Benefit – Efficiency.
The hulls on a catamaran are finer (thinner) than those of a monohull and provide far less resistance when travelling through the water. The boat is able to plane easily and there is no discernible “hump” to get up and over. This means the Powercat does not need masses of engine power to get it on to the plane and at its optimum performance. The net result is less fuel needed to operate a Powercat.
Benefit – Comfort of Ride.
The Powercat 525 offers an exceptionally soft ride. The boat cuts through the water and does not suffer from the “slamming” associated with some other types of boat. This remains true at high speeds and choppy conditions when other boats can produce a ‘bone jarring’ ride. Even in big seas, when it is possible to get a Powercat 525 completely out of the water, the landing is remarkably soft.
Benefit – Stability (Safety).
Having two hulls means the buoyancy is situated on the outer sides of the boat so the whole deck area can be used with hardly any lateral rolling movement.
Benefit – Usable Space.
The stability of the catamaran means the whole width of the deck space right up to the side of the hull can be safely used. Size for size the Powercat offers much more usable deck space than other types of boat.
Benefit – Accessibility.
The stability and area available makes the Powercat a comfortable and accessible ride for everyone and is easily adapted for wheelchair users.
Benefit – Sea Keeping Ability.
Powercats have a proven pedigree when it comes to operating in adverse weather conditions. It has had years of experience and testing. The Powercat 525 offers exceptional sea keeping ability – ahead of anything in its class.
Benefit – Seating & Storage.
With lots of usable space on a Powercat, this means there is a lot of storage and seating. There is plenty of seating and storage space for safety equipment, fenders, anchor, fuel and personal belongings. When fitted with upholstery comfortable berths and a large sunlounging area make it perfect for beach days.
Benefit – Shallow Draft.
Drawing only 0.3m (1′) of water means that the boat can be safely operated in shallow water.
Benefit – Low Wash.
Powercats produce very little wash, a big advantage when operating in an area with other boats and sailing vessels where wash can produce a significant hazard, and in rivers and estuaries where erosion is undesirable.
Benefit – Easy tow.
The shallow draft, small size and lightweight of the Powercat 525 means it can be easily towed behind a medium sized family car and stored on your driveway to save on costly marina bills. It also allows you to take it with you on holiday so you can always access the water.
