Viewings by arrangement at the
Multihull Centre, Cornwall.
Launched July 2022.
SOLD
This exceptional Dazcat 1295 has been meticulously maintained at the Multihull Centre yard since launch in 2022. Foxy has benefitted from regular maintenance as well as annual updates and improvements.
Foxy has been a much loved family cruiser to her family of four and their friends. She’s also ventured onto the race circuit a few times as the family discovered the joys of being able to ‘do it all’ with their Dazcat.
Foxy has enjoyed being among the multihull community on both inshore and offshore race circuits and despite claiming to be ‘novice racers’ has taken home a few trophies.
You can link to the MOCRA Rating site where there are more details on weights and handicap.
Life changes mean the owners aren’t currently able to use Foxy as they feel she deserves to be used. After much soul searching they have decided to put her on the market and let someone else enjoy the beauty, speed, grace and comfort she offers.

Description
The Dazcat 1295 ‘Foxy’ represents an exceptional performance catamaran meticulously engineered for both blue water cruising and competitive racing, whether shorthanded or fully crewed.
The 1295 has repeatedly proven itself and in 2025 was 1st in under 50ft Rolex Fastnet Race and 1st and 2nd in the RORC Season’s points Championship. The results speak for themselves both in terms of performance and offshore capabilities.
A lot of work has gone into reducing systems weights on the boat and the Dazcat 1295 is distinguished by a lower beam-to-length ratio when compared to its peers of similar length. This unique design choice minimizes wind resistance and imparts excellent performance attributes, particularly when sailing upwind. Comfort of ride is of utmost importance in the design process.
Foxy sleeps six or seven in three cabins with ample storage in a delightfully fresh interior. Living space is both practical and comfortable and the signature half up Dazcat galley allows crew to cook up delicious meals while keeping a 360 view on the boat and what’s happening on deck.

Dazcat 1295 ‘Foxy’
Foxy’s robust yet lightweight composite construction offers several distinct advantages. In addition to superb speeds and outstanding light wind performance, its reduced weight necessitates a smaller rig size, thus diminishing both loads and wear on vital lines and equipment. Furthermore, this lightweight construction combined with the cable steering make the helm incredibly light and responsive. Sheet and halyard loads are also reduced, facilitating ease of handling and helping to keep the crew fresher and happy.
Whether enjoyed by a family or a group of sailing enthusiasts, the D1295 offers an exhilarating experience aboard a fast and responsive vessel. Its impressive speed broadens the scope of your cruising adventures and means you also have a wider array of destination choices. Passage times are significantly reduced, the need for motoring is minimised, and Foxy keeps sailing even in the faintest of breezes. This Dazcat 1295 has proven its remarkable sailing performance, which in turn gives remarkable enjoyment.
Comfort is of paramount concern during the design process. Elevated speeds can sometimes lead to an uneven ride, but the D1295 mitigates this by centralizing weight distribution. Centralised weight is achieved through the elevation of the saloon flooring in the vessel’s center and positioning of tankage and systems underneath. This design also reduces wiring complexity.
In the cockpit, extensive consideration has been given to the dual helm and crew positions, which are placed forward once again to maintain central weight distribution. A raised cockpit with optional (removeable) helm seating grants excellent visibility in all directions. Lines run back to the cockpit and winches and clutches are positioned directly in front of the helmsperson, providing quick and easy access to all lines and facilitating effortless single-handed sailing while also enhancing safety. Dual helm positions also offer the advantage of escaping the turbulent airflow caused by the jib, allowing the helm to operate in clean air and offering a more comfortable and effective steering experience.
The interior layout has been meticulously crafted to optimize saloon space, featuring the starboard side galley positioned partially below the raised flooring. This arrangement allows you to work in the galley at a lower height, ensuring eye level remains aligned with the saloon windows giving clear all round views. The unobstructed view provided by this design choice also effectively helps to mitigate motion sickness. The D1295 is designed to comfortably accommodate your family and friends, providing berths for up to seven individuals. These accommodations include twin double cabins aft, one forward cabin, and a convertible saloon sofa.
On the port side of the saloon there is a navigation area and small chart table. Foxy has the full B&G H5000 system. This includes 3 x B&G Zeus Chart plotters with one at the nav station and one at each helm station.

Construction Methods and Materials
Each Dazcat is hand crafted by composite engineers and boat builders who understand the exacting requirement needed to produce a very strong but lightweight structure.
Combined with clever design and material processing, this makes Dazcats half the weight of a standard production catamaran, with the strength for offshore cruising and racing.
Only high quality materials are used in our boats, and each is specified individually to its purpose. Materials include protective 65PA gel coat, vinylester and Isothalic resin with multi-axial and uni-directional engineered fabrics.
Core materials are PVC foam for the hull structure, wet-deck, bridge deck canopy
and bulkheads. Interior finishes include gel coat, painted, timber, and lined surfaces. Carbon reinforcements protect the bridge deck and beam joints; Kevlar hull. Built using female tooling.
Construction Materials in Detail
Hulls: Isothalic Gelcoat Scott Bader 65pa; Vinylesther resin infused hull with uni directional carbon in way of high load areas and Multiaxial E-Glass, either side of PVC & PET foam core. Kevlar reinforcement below water line. Finished with Coppercoat antifouling.
Coachroof and Cockpit: Gelcoat Scott Bader 65pa, Isothalic 489pa resin; Multiaxial E-Glass, vacuumed PVC & PTE foam core. Unidirectinal carbon reinforcements in high load areas with Vinylesther resin.
Bulkheads, Bunk tops, floors, shelves, seats, navigation and galley units: Isothalic 489pa resin, Multiaxial E-Glass, vacuumed PVC & PTE foam core. Unidirectinal carbon reinforcements in high load areas with Vinylesther resin.
