Past Dazcat Projects
Multimarine builds the complete range of Dazcat performance and cruising catamarans. Boat shapes, sizes and even number of hulls has varied over the years, what remains the same is that Dazcats can meet all your needs from transatlantic long-distance cruisers to smaller sport/cruising catamarans for the family or commercial operator. Our proven track record of developing race winning catamarans and trimarans, and an established reputation for developing catamarans with full disability access has confirmed our place at the forefront of British Multihull Design.
The D10 showcased below was designed nearly 25 years ago and is still capable of providing endless family fun and winning races!
Dazcat is currently developing a new range of exciting semi-production and custom catamarans. Please give us a ring to discuss your needs.

PROFILING D10 Belladonna
The D10 has been through a few name and size changes. The first was a 920, launched in 1997 and designed specifically for the Three Peaks Racing. Next came D10 Belladonna, launched in 1999. Built as a cruiser she has recently broken into the MOCRA race scence rather spectacularly – coming 2nd in class in the 2018 2-handed Round Britain & Ireland.
The design follows the classic Dazcat layout. The galley and navigation station set half down in the hulls give full standing headroom and great all-round views through the saloon windows. The saloon seating is U-shaped and the table drops down to create a double berth.
This area has sitting headroom to maintain good bridge deck clearance and a balanced look to the boat’s lines. Single/cosy doubles are situated aft in both hulls. Forward on the port side is a small head and shower compartment, and on starboard another single berth/storage area.
Construction is high standard vacuumed foam sandwich, using multi-axial E-glass fabric, Kevlar and carbon reinforced with vinylester and isothalic polyester resin systems, utilising existing but modified moulds. The finish is a gel coated cockpit area and optional spray-painted topsides and decks with metallic finishes.

After a lengthy search for a 10m Dazcat we bought Belladonna in 2015 and have spent the last four years getting to know her and the team of wonderful people at the Multihull Centre.
I can’t recommend a Dazcat highly enough as the perfect fast cruising catamaran. Belladonna is 20 years old (2018) and still looks and sails like a new boat, a testament to the quality of the original vision and build of the folks at Multimarine. My criteria for boat selection were simple to pick out but tricky to fulfil; Sailing speed, it’s got to be fast and fun to sail; Internal space, enough space and comfort to let you enjoy the sailing and keep on sailing fast and fun; Hull strength and stability, strong enough to stand up to any sea conditions but light enough to keep it fast and fun! Belladonna has delivered perfectly.
While I expected Belladonna to be a wonderful boat to spend some time in I was not expecting the warm reception and friendly attitude of the team and the Multihull Centre. Our initial plan was to move Belladonna further up the south coast back to the familiar Southampton water area but now four years on we are stuck fast in the Millbrook mud and really can’t see any reason to go anywhere else. The tidal pontoon berth we have is serenely peaceful and stunningly beautiful all year round, together with walk ashore access, water and electricity what more could you want? A full-service composite specialist boatyard? Step up Multimarine Manufacturing, if you can imagine it they can build it. If you can break it they can put it back together again stronger than before. Yes, its perfect for us.
PROFILING DAZCAT 995 EASY TIGER
Easy Tiger began life in 2007 as an open bridge deck boat. Sold as a ‘kit boat’ she was completed by the original owner and enjoyed life as a cruiser until 2013. Easy Tiger was bought as a boat-share partnership and underwent an extensive refit, that as well as the addition of a sumptously comfy saloon and galley area took her from being a D10 to a D995.
When You Tube sailing blogger celebrities Matt and Jessica of MJ Sailing found themselves stuck in Plymouth thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic and they just happen to be planning to build their own cat…Well, how better to spend the time than try out some Dazcat sailing. Enjoy the tour and the sail with Matt and Jessica on Easy Tiger.
