The deck layout means you’ll be able to sail from the comfort of the cockpit and the super-spacious, bright and comfortable interior ensures this boat will carry everything you need for any adventure.

As with all our Dazcats, our conversations with you begin before the formal commissioning stage and continue throughout the build process. This way we can make sure the boat is fully personalised to your needs. The conversations don’t end with delivery of your boat. Design & Construction Background

The Dazcat Flagship Design Team, with support in design, engineering and Naval Architecture from Solent based Ben Rogerson Yacht Design (BRYD), make up the perfect team to create the perfect catamaran platform with everything one dreams of.

As all cat enthusiasts already know, two is always going to out-perform just one and sometimes three out-performs two. So, to build the perfect boat we first decided to build the perfect team - where discussion, exchange and different perspectives work together to refine the design process. The bar has been set high, very high, and there is no doubt the Dazcat 1895 catamaran will offer exceptional value.

Catamaran Racing & Cruising

Dazcat and Multimarine have based this new design on over 30 years of experience in multihull racing and cruising design & construction. Together with Ben Rogerson we have evolved this beautiful craft with the aim to create a new 60-footer class racer-cruiser to join other Dazcats and the likes of Gunboat in the Caribbean circuit as well as other international and RORC offshore events.

Creating the perfect-pedigree offshore sports cruiser catamaran with the optimum balance between comfort and performance is what Dazcat do best. Our reputation for this is well deserved and repeatedly proven. The performance oriented carbon structure is strong and lightweight, allowing you to make faster passage times, extend your cruising grounds or outrun weather. To maximise stiffness of the structure, the carbon is combined with aramids and infused epoxy resin systems. The boat is then faired and painted to the owner's colour choices

On Deck and in the Cockpit – all the top gear to make Dazcat 1895 work for you.

On deck the Dazcat 1895 has twin wheel direct carbon-cable and shaft drive steering, imperative for best control and providing quick response to the actions of the helm and crew. When sailing at high speeds it’s essential to maintain total control and to maximise crew response and interface with the boat. In order to achieve this the helm is positioned with a clear all-round view and is able to move from one side to the other quickly and easily. All control lines are close to hand for short or single-handed sailing. In our experience, the sum of these design features quite literally provide a winning formula.

Winches are dual powered to wind and release giving the helm push-button fingertip control on the main traveller and sheet as well as the self-tacking jib. Even the dagger boards are on button control line drivers for easy deployment from the helm position. The spinnaker tack line is mounted to the carbon spinnaker pole with the classic Dazcat V striker and no forward beam is envisaged. Light weight spectra nets are used between to reduce windage and weight forward.

An all carbon mast boom with hay racks and sails are specified to make sure the rig is both very stiff and light. An Antal mast track system and halyard locks, as used by top race boats, are fitted. The self-tacking jib provides easy fast tacks to assist single-handed sailing, though there’s plenty of space to get the crew up and trimming as well.

The stepped cockpit provides a safe and comfortable area for crew to control all lines and winches and for the helm to move between the two raised stations. Cruising comforts include ample outside seating and dining areas with BBQ. The cockpit is covered by a carbon bimini with plenty of solar panels and a rain water harvesting system on top. Composite davits are mounted to the aft beam to take the tender and steps lead directly from the cockpit to the tender boarding area.

Anchoring and chain locker is fitted into the main beam to keep weight central. This uses an electric windless and there’s plenty of warp and fender storage as well.

Below Decks on the Dazcat 1895

True to our Multimarine principles, weight is centralised in the Dazcat 1895 to increase performance. The interiors can be tailored to your layout - each boat is unique and reflects the client’s requirements.

A set of glass sliding doors lead from the cockpit to the saloon which has a U-shaped seating area with table, a snug and breakfast bar leading to the galley area. This can also create a storage space for downwind sail when sailing.

The classic Dazcat galley is set half up in the port hull. This creates perfect ergonomics when preparing food, allowing those in the galley to have great views and full interactions with anyone in the saloon. There are vast expanses of worktop and storage space, a built in fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave and other options including cockpit BBQ. The galley layout allows heavy items to be placed under the soles to keep weight centralised and it's slightly lower position helps keep motion to a minimum.

Forward of the galley is a large double cabin with ample storage and hanging space. Aft is another cabin that can be either two singles or a double with snug seating and adjoining heads and shower.

On the starboard side we have the spacious master cabin with en-suite and plenty of storage. There is a central navigation area with berth for tactician and forward is a twin bunk room for guest or crew which has its own heads compartment and sail locker. Additional sail storage is also available forward in the port hull.

Ultimately, we can be flexible with the interior designs. This version is more aimed at offshore sporting events, with capacity also for cruising with family and friends in between times. However, we are happy to tailor your boat to your requirements depending on how you envisage using it.
