Coppercoat

Multimarine recommend Coppercoat as standard antifouling on all our Dazcats and Multimarine boats. We are also Official Applicators. Find out why we believe it’s best for the environment and best for you.

Better for you

Winter jobs…antifouling a multihull…concerned about environmental impact…repeat annual costs to lift and repaint…time…mess…and it’s cold and nasty outside…

All these and more are good reasons why we are happy to use Coppercoat as our standard antifouling on all our Dazcats and Multimarine boats. We are also Official Applicators and so can ensure that your boat is coated under the ideal conditions for maximum durability using the best environmentally responsible solution available. You are also able to purchase it dirctly and apply it yourself here at the Multihull Centre Yard if once every 10 years is less daunting than every year! You can also be happy it’s doing significantly less harm to you and the world around you.

A Closer Look

Coppercoat has been proven to be VOC-free and significantly reduce biocide-leach and end of life pollution. Even better, it is proven to be effective for up to a decade in all-season conditions, so it cuts out those pesky annual costs and jobs.

VOCs, a key ingredient of most antifouls, are mostly petroleum derived photoreactive chemical precursors which readily evaporate into the atmosphere. When exposed to UV light and other air pollutants these form ground-level ozone, contributing to global warming.

We build boats because we love our oceans, waterways and coastlines all over the world. We want to continue to enjoy all life on land and at sea and to act responsibly in supporting sustainable use of the water. One way to help that is to use a more sustainable antifoul.
